How Fonteezy makes money
The short version: some links to font stores will pay us a commission. You pay the same, and it has no say in which fonts we match or recommend.

Where things stand
Right now Fonteezy has no affiliate links and no ads. We plan to add affiliate links to font stores first, and this page explains how they'll work before they appear. Running the site costs money every month for hosting, file storage and the server that finds new fonts, and commissions are how we plan to cover it while keeping the site free.
How affiliate links work
Some paid fonts can only be bought from a store. When you click through to a store from Fonteezy and buy a license, the store may pay us a commission. It comes out of the store's share, so you pay the store's normal price. We'll only use affiliate links for paid fonts; free downloads stay free.
What commissions don't change
Identification results are ranked by how closely each font matches what you gave us. Who sells a font, and whether they pay us, doesn't move it up or down. When there are free fonts that look close to a paid one, we'll keep showing them next to it, even though we earn nothing from them.
How you'll know
You won't have to come to this page to find out. Wherever we show store links, this note will sit right next to them:

We also mark these links in the page code so search engines know they're paid links.
Ads
We may add ads later. If we do, they'll be labelled as ads, they won't appear on identification results, and we'll update our privacy policy first.
